TODAY'S COMMAND TO OBEY:

Today, I'm examining Jesus command to us in Matthew 5:23-24, where Jesus says, “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift." (NIV)

What does this mean, and how can we obey this command? Watch the video above to learn, and spend the 4 minutes of prayer designed to help you think about how to keep this command of Jesus.

Reach out: Take 60 seconds & text your mentor about what you’re learning. Ask for prayer, share next actions, or share how Jesus is transforming you.

Most churches don’t have a clear discipleship plan. Does yours?

If you’re wondering how you can disciple new believers effectively, you’re not alone. Many pastors are struggling with discipleship in the evangelical church. The Obedience Challenge is part of the NewStart Discipleship family of discipleship tools. It provides a clear strategy for discipling new believers into mature followers of Jesus.

The Obedience Challenge includes a 90 Day reading of the Gospels, focusing on obeying the 45 commands of Jesus found there. Your new believers can spend 8 minutes every day focusing on how they can obey the commands of Jesus, while you check in with them, encourage them, and answer their questions.

God sends brand new Christians to the places where they are going to be cared for. Don't get stuck with no discipleship strategy! Get started with a great discipleship plan right here
