Obedience Challenge - Day 19

BIBLE READING PLAN BEST FOR NEW CHRISTIANS

Welcome to today's Obedience Challenge! We're continuing our 90 day Journey through the Gospels, learning to be true disciples of Jesus -- to love and obey Him.

The Scripture reading for today is: Matthew 19

TODAY'S COMMAND TO OBEY:

Today, we're looking at the command of Jesus in Matthew 5:46-48 where Jesus says, "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

How can a Christian truly keep this -- how can we live out that "perfect love" that characterizes our Father's love for even his enemies? Watch the video to learn how.

The Obedience Challenge is part of the NewStart Discipleship family of discipleship tools. It provides a clear strategy for discipling new believers into mature followers of Jesus.

The Obedience Challenge includes a 90 Day reading of the Gospels, focusing on obeying the 45 commands of Jesus found there. Your new believers can spend 8 minutes every day focusing on how they can obey the commands of Jesus, while you check in with them, encourage them, and answer their questions.

God sends brand new Christians to the places where they are going to be cared for. Don't get stuck with no discipleship strategy! Get started with a great discipleship plan right here
