TODAY'S COMMAND TO OBEY:

Today, we're spending time mulling over the command of Jesus in Matthew 7:1-5, where he says, “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."

What does this mean, and how can we obey this command of Christ? Watch the video from yesterday to learn how you can obey Jesus command not to judge one another.

Most Christians don't grow as fast as they could, because they try to do it alone.

Reach out: If you’ve been reaching out and touching base with a mentor, I’m so proud and happy. If you haven’t, it’s not too late to access the growth that comes with connection! Take a moment and celebrate your progress with a mentor, or ask for help if it’s needed. ~ Darrell

How can my church be ready to help new believers grow spiritually into mature disciples?

Help your new believers grow spiritually in discipleship

If you’re wondering how you can disciple new believers effectively, you’re not alone. Many pastors are struggling with discipleship in the evangelical church. The Obedience Challenge is part of the NewStart Discipleship family of discipleship tools. It provides a clear strategy for discipling new believers into mature followers of Jesus.

NewStart Discipleship includes the Obedience Challenge, which features a 90 Day reading of the Gospels, focusing on obeying the 45 commands of Jesus found there. Your new believers can spend 8-9 minutes every day focusing on how they can obey the commands of Jesus, while you check in with them, encourage them, and answer their questions.

God sends brand new Christians to the places where they are going to be cared for. Don't get stuck with no discipleship strategy! Get started with a great discipleship plan right here
